• Account information: name, email address, password, and phone number.
• Emergency contacts: name, phone number, and email of contacts you add.
• Location data: your device's GPS location, collected only while an active safety timer is running or at the moment an alert is triggered.
• Alert content: the optional message you attach to a safety check-in.
• Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser type, and timestamps.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store full card details.

2. How We Use Information

• To deliver safety alerts (SMS and email) to your emergency contacts when a timer expires.
• To create and secure your account and verify your identity.
• To send you transactional messages (account, billing, and service notifications).
• To improve, troubleshoot, and maintain the service.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. SMS / Text Messaging

Safeangelsapp.com sends SMS messages through Twilio. You and your emergency contacts may receive messages such as: safety alerts containing the user's name and a location link, confirmation and opt-in messages, and account notifications.

Consent: By adding a phone number to your account or your contact list, you confirm that you have permission from the owner of that number to receive Safeangelsapp.com messages.
Opt-out: Reply STOP to any Safeangelsapp.com SMS to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on user activity.

Mobile information sharing: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information shared with subprocessors (such as Twilio) is used solely to deliver the messages you and your contacts have requested.

4. Location Information

Location is collected only when you start a safety timer and is shared with your designated emergency contacts via a secure alert link if the timer is not cancelled. We do not sell or use your location data for advertising.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only with:

• Your emergency contacts — when an alert is triggered.
• Service providers (subprocessors): Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), and our hosting and database providers.
• Legal authorities, when required by law or to protect safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Law Enforcement & Data Requests

Safeangelsapp.com is not connected to law enforcement, 911, or any emergency dispatch system. We do not provide police or government agencies with ongoing, real-time, or special access to user data.

However, like any U.S.-based service, we may be required by law to disclose information in response to a valid legal process, such as a subpoena, court order, search warrant, or other lawful request from a government or law-enforcement authority. We may also disclose information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users, the public, or Safeangelsapp.com.

This includes data related to our circle-based tracking feature. If you join or create a circle, your location points, share status, circle membership, and related activity may be disclosed in response to a valid legal request, just like any other account data.

When permitted by law, we will attempt to notify affected users of a request for their information. We will challenge requests we believe are invalid, overbroad, or unlawful. Law-enforcement inquiries should be directed to our contact information below and include the agency name, badge or case number, and the specific data requested.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and contact information for as long as your account is active. Location data attached to a past alert is retained for up to 90 days and then deleted. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and row-level access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

10. Children's Privacy

Safeangelsapp.com is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
