What to Do If You Think You're Being Followed

Most of the time it's nothing. But if the hair on the back of your neck is up, treat it like something and reverse course if you're wrong. Here's the sequence.

1. Confirm

Change direction. Cross the street. Turn a corner. If they mirror you two or three times, it's not a coincidence.

2. Break the pattern

Go somewhere they don't expect — into a store, a hotel lobby, a gas station. Anywhere with people and lights.

3. Get help visible

Talk to staff. Ask them to call you a taxi or to sit with you. Being seen with other people is protective.

4. Alert your people

Start a Safeangelsapp.com countdown so your contacts have your live GPS location the moment it fires. Send a video message describing the person if you can do it safely.

5. Call the police if it escalates

If they follow you inside, approach, or make contact — call the police. Stay on the line. Loud is safer than quiet.

Set up your one-tap check-in

Start a countdown when you feel unsafe. If you don't cancel, we alert your emergency contacts with your live GPS location. $4.99/month. Cancel anytime.
